this is the third tuning spork blues experiment. inspired by legends like miles davis and modern day techno producers like dandy jack, andreoni is forging wacked out new house sounds, in the true spirit of jazz. this ep is no exception, and it shows why the likes of ricardo villalobos believe that signor andreoni is an amazing musician. to begin the experiment, andreoni jams you deep into space, with some seriously fucked up effects that will have you hiding under your bedclothes. sleepover is perhaps the most techno cut on this release, but the deep haze of dub still remains, over a banging percussive track. on members the melodies are perfect as you expect from signor andreoni, and here the acid line is more prominent in the mix, over deep warbling bass notes. in borderline, nothing is as it seems. melodies fall down cliffs into weird drones, and everything seems a little skewed. this completes a 4 track ep from a unique talent in the world of deep electronic house music, with 4 distinctive colourful tracks that take the genre far away from the middlebrow. make sure you check out our third tuning spork blues experiment, even if you spent most of science class using bunsen burners as water pistols

one listen to ‘atlantis to interzone’ and the several miles of dots between post punk psychedelic pop and pill popping dance music are quickly joined, where screaming sirens and samples straight out of a field in ‘89 give way to the punked out half-falsetto, half melodic breakneck vocals and drums. klaxons (that s jamie, simon and james) created a chorus that can be both screamed drunkenly and sung quietly to yourself on the bus. this anthem (of the year?) is offered with remixed version by our extra-skills duo digitalism, alongside an extra long industrial technoid mix by nightmoves and a ‘break for love’ mix by dave p and sparkles’

ginny s unique 1983 slow burning >can t be serious< has some very intense vocals and has conquered the hearts of many. now finally available again, remastered from the original tapes. renowned jazz-funk fusionist clive stevens has a career spanning over 30 years and has collaborated with the likes of afrika bambaata, manfred mann, billy cobham and others. his 1983 >mystery man< track is a beautiful, exotic cosmic disco jam previously released on italian label >many records< and the german >frog records<. this rare and sought after track comes in orignal remixed version featuring famous percussionist/composer mino cinelu who has played with miles davis and weather report

this 12 kicks off with jam 2 tha mother,a track that has been doing the rounds for a while as a westpark unit track apparently. its a fairly nice hiphouse bumper.its all about miles though. the looped piano sample works wonderfully well with the straight deep disco beats. and while the original is good, the soulphiction remix is the icing on the cake. they give it a certain industrial/techy edge, and make the sample stand out even better. add to that some dope detroit beatdown bass licks and beats, and you ve got yourself a catchy tune

miles maeda rubs out one hell of a remix with his trademark jackin beats rumping bassline cleverly edit vocal sample of just be good to me & a huge bridge section that strips the groove down with another massive bassline flip for a nasty little hypnotic dub that is just as pumping as the original also included is an old school house mix with lovely percussion work deep dubbed out key stabs & deep juno sub bassline

underground darling mathew jonson with another extra-large three track stunner: right from the start swirling synth over a pinching beat suck you into a vortex before a rubbery bassline takes the lead and an electrical storm of dark, haunting sounds wrap you in. well, words dont do this truly symphonic oeuvre no justice - this has to be experienced in the dark and in earsplitting volume. on the flip mj gives free reign to his unlimited creativity with an impressive soundtrack-style tableau of electronic jazz, sounding like late bass-revolutionary jaco pastorius descending form the outerworld to interveave some of his crazy warbled, bend notes into a messianic david axelrod arrangement, mixed at lee scratch perrys echo chamber. miles above your typical pain-by-numbers club fare - simply huge!
